Say no to a VAT increase

Our new government has drawn up plans to make significant cuts to culture budgets.

But in addition to these cutbacks, the cabinet has also proposed raising VAT on theatre and concert tickets from 6% to 19%.

This means that if you currently pay € 23,= for a ticket, you will soon pay € 26,=!

This tax increase on ticket prices will not be reflected in the performances themselves. The service of the theatre will not change either. You will simply be paying more for the same thing!

Please sign this petition to prevent this measure.

Thank you in advance for your support.

The price increase explained in detail

The prices of concert and theatre tickets will rise if the VAT increase of 13% goes ahead.

A ticket of € 23,= will cost € 25.82 and a ticket of € 45,= will cost € 50.52, a price increase of no less than 12.3%.
This petition is an initiative of the VVTP, the Association of Independent Theatre Producers, and V.V.E.M, the Association of Event Organisers.

The following theatre producers and organisers make up the VVTP and the VVEM and support the petition against the increase of VAT on concert and theatre tickets.
